Personality: Shizuka dresses like a priestess, but acts nothing like one. Shizuka has an innocent looking outside that covers up an enigmatic obsession with heaven and hell. She tries to stay on a good path in all areas of life, but has frequent impulses that can lead her away from it. She tends to do a lot of things without really thinking, but somehow makes everything work out in the end. She's generally well-mannered and endeavors to keep herself that way, but can have brief moments to sometimes extended periods of time where she can be sarcastic, rude, apathetic, or even border along sadistic.

Background/RP Sample

Background: As a human, Shizuka was the daughter of devout religious parents. As she grew older, she started to see their view of the world as simply ignorance. According to their standards, she started acting out and becoming a bigger part in the filthy world she was born into. She became a thrill seeker, spoke out, did stupid and reckless things because they were actually fun to her, and she constantly disobeyed her parents in doing such things because she viewed them as withdrawn, antisocial and incompetent hiding behind a nonexistant god. Anytime she did anything not approved of, they only served to remind her of the hell-fire she would burn in for the rest of eternity. She took no credit in their claims and believed they would be the ones to burn, because they were the ones who had turned their backs on the very world they lived in. One night, they went out for a religious gathering and Shizuka was looking forward to not having them around for a while, she figured she could sleep in peace without the constant mutter of their prayers. During her sleep, she started slowly coming to consciousness to a thick, horrible smell and a crackling sound all around her. She jumped up only to find fire all around her. She ran for an exit - any exit - but found each enveloped already by flames. She ended up in the largest, center room of her house, also where her parents' shrine was set up. In her panic, it took her a moment to notice, but she walked over to the shrine to find that her parents had forgotten to blow out their prayer candles before they left. The remains of one was tipped over on its side, even though there was nothing to have done that in her sleep, but at that moment she swore she could hear a god laughing at her.

By that time, why she didn't end up in hell? She had no clue, but a shinigami swept her off to a new life anyways.

Zanpakutō Information

Name: Kuruizakihime (Madly Blooming Princess)

Release Phrase: Embed/Bloom, Kuruizakihime

Element/Family: Fire

Manifestation: Kuruizakihime manifests as a large, red, komodo dragon.

Sealed Zanpakuto: Two long, thin black daggers with red stones embeded at the top of the hilt.

Shikai: Kuruizakihime takes the form of two black metal chakrams with red stones around the inner circle and blades that curve to the shape of the weapon.


Picture ended up small, but this is for the general idea of people who may not know what kind of weapon I'm talking about.

Shikai Ability: Kuruizakihime gives control over a fire flower. The first call "Embed" changes the form of the daggers to chakrams, and leaves a microscopic seed behind where it cuts or scratches an object or person. The call "Bloom" makes the seeds grow rapidly into black and red flowers that explode when fully grown and release two seeds of their own, so the second command can be used multiple times as its attack.

Techniques

Name: Katto (Flare Up)
State: Shikai
Description: Summons a storm of the fire flowers' petals like a tornado around Shizuka to act as a shield and repel attacks and people back. The smaller flames from the petals can be caught on Shizuka's chakrams and used to temporarily boost melee attack strength.
Duration and/or cooldown: The tornado itself only lasts a few seconds to repel what may be coming, and the smaller flames will die out with more movement/attacks they are used in.
